Guest events

Our weekly Sunday meetings as a church are always open to visitors and we'd love to welcome you to any of these any time of year.  There are also special guest events where we look at particular questions or issues in a variety of formats.  These are a great way of beginning to find out about the Christian faith and we welcome serious questions, however sceptical!

Some of our Guest events are at special times of the year like our Community Carol Service and Family Carol Service. Other events relate to contemporary culture like our Oscars night where we watch excerpts of Oscar winning films and consider their message, the questions they raise and how the good news of Jesus might answer these questions.  In the summer we enjoyed our second Community Barbecue and Open Evening.  We have also interviewed people with moving stories to tell of how knowing Christ has impacted their lives.

Usually we meet at Morley School in an informal cafe-style environment around small tables with refreshments and nibbles.

The next Guest event...

... is Rock Celebrates Age - a morning service focusing on the older members of our local comunity. More details to follow but it will take place at 10am on the 5th October

... later in term we have an evening looking at issues of science and faith with Denis Alexander of the Faraday Institute, Cambridge.
