Diamonds takes place on alternate Fridays, from 2.30-4pm at Lichfield Community Centre, Lichfield Road.
It’s a free club for over-60s run by volunteers from Rock Baptist Church and is open to all – we welcome people of any faith or none. The afternoon generally runs like this:
- For the first half we enjoy tea, coffee, cakes and chat. About halfway through there will be some notices and some food for thought – sometimes we might hear the story of how one of the team members became a Christian or else we might have a short ‘Thought for the Day’ slot where someone gives a very short talk about current affairs and how it relates to an aspect of the Christian faith.
- During the second half we have the option of craft activities, games like Scrabble, dominoes etc; we’re very open to new ideas too.
If you want to come along and try it out you’re very welcome.
Come for as long or short a time as you like.
