We are a Christian fellowship of around 80 adults and children. We meet for our public services on Sundays at Morley Memorial Primary School and mid-week in smaller groups. All our meetings as suitable for guests to attend but we sometimes run special services for people who have never been to church or who haven’t been to church for a long time. Our congregation is made up of men and women from a variety of different social backgrounds and we are from all corners of the globe. Everyone is welcome.
What are our meetings like?
On Sunday mornings we meet for about an hour and a half starting at 10am at Morley Memorial Primary School.
Our services are relaxed and contemporary, but we also lay great stress upon reverence for God in our worship, which is God-centred and Bible-based.
You will be greeted at the door on arrival and shown where the loos are, where you can get a drink, and where we sit for the services. You can sneak quietly into the back if you would rather keep a low profile, or you can get to meet lots of other people if you would like to make friends.
In the first half of our morning service, children and young people join us as together we are led from the front in prayer, bible reading and reflection upon God’s Word by a variety of church members. We also sing a mixture of great hymns that have stood the test of time, alongside the best of contemporary praise songs and hymns. In this we are accompanied by a music group and singers.
We have a very short break half way through the service for children to leave for their ‘Rock Bible Club’ classes. There will be stewards to show you where your children are to go if they would like to join in. Of course, you are very welcome to have your children with you throughout the whole service. All our Sunday school teachers are well trained and DBS checked.
In the second half of the service we place the focus on a sermon from the Bible usually preached by our Pastor. This is an important part of our time together and we always have clear, relevant preaching from the Bible. The preacher is always available for questions and prayer after the service.
Sunday evening meetings are different. We have a variety of activities including seminars, communion services, social activities and guest events. Most start at 6pm and are held at Morley Memorial Primary School but this does change depending on the meeting. It is worth contacting us through the website for details before visiting.
Can I join you for a service?
Of course! We would love to see you at any of our Sunday meetings. Here you can join our worship and listen to the message of the Bible explained clearly.
Where do you meet?
We meet in Morley Memorial Primary School on Blinco Grove, off Cherry Hinton Road, in south Cambridge, not far from the station. For information on how to find us, click here
Who was Jesus? Why did he come? What does it mean to follow him?
The Christianity Explored course gives you time and space to consider the big questions of life and to explore the life of the person at the heart of the Christian faith – Jesus Christ.
Everyone is welcome – from the most sympathetic Sunday schooler to the convinced atheist. We will respect your background, culture and beliefs, and you can tell us as little or as much about yourself as you feel comfortable.
Our aim is to help people investigate Christianity in a relaxed and accessible way, and we encourage guests to come with all of their questions. In just a few weeks we won’t be able to cover everything, but many people have found the course to be a good introduction to the big issues. Let us know if you would like to join the next course.
